Mutrothal involves complete recitation of all of these songs. The event happens from 7 AM till 1:30 PM. We have a holy pot full of water. At the end of each song , the holy pot is worshipped thereby transferring the energy to the holy water. This song itself stimulates the practitioner’s body, mind and soul to achieve one’s goal. The inner awakening could happen to one who recites Thiruvasagam with his inner depth of heart. At the end of the session , the holy water is taken by all the devotees.

Padha Puja

The ultimate state in spiritual journey is the experience of the Almighty within oneself. This is called the experience of Lotus feet( Padha). The very first chapter in Thirukkural contains the reference to HIS lotus feet in 7 out of 10 songs.

Just like a copper conductor conducts electricity, by touching the feet of great saints , we can also get a share the divine lotus experience from them. Based on this belief, there is a custom of performing Puja to the feet. In similar lines, in our group , the Padha puja is celebrated on 1st of May of every year. That day we have a Yagam performed in the early morning for the benefit.
